Hi Everyone,
It was our regional Stake Conference today. I wasn't going to go and something keep at me so at the last minute (without makeup) I went. Typically there would be no room at the time I arrived. I found a seat at the back and it was a perfect place to sit. I took a notebook and was prepared for a feast which I'll have to say I did enjoy. Pres. Russell M. Nelson, Pres. Uchdorf, Sister Dalton and Bishop Tingy all spoke. I was filled with love and hope. A love that grows as I ponder and search to know the Savior and God better. I stand all amazed at their love and mercy for all of us. Tending to the conversion of our families is a lifelong process. I loved the quote by Pres. Monson it lends a tenor of strength and hope and love for all of us to step up and no longer be strangers of the word. I had an ah ha as I came into the house about the gospel in general. I feel the members can easily be caught up in pride of their own obedience about how we live. And pass judgement as to how others live. It has come to me so many times that living the gospel around good, obedient people is a breeze and its something we all enjoy and want more of. However~how simple is that. Its easy to love the lovable. Now to learn what the gospel is and then really practice it around those who are less lovable is the challenge and where the joy and growth comes in my opinion. I love you all. I'm so grateful for the good people in my life. And all those who appear less kind and become such good teachers so I can practice the Christ principles. Have an amazing week.

"This is a wonderful time to be living here on earth. Our opportunities are limitless. While there are some things wrong in the world today, there are many things right, such as teachers who teach, ministers who minister, marriages that make it, parents who sacrifice, and friends who help. "We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues."--Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, Feb. 2000, 2

Our Weekend
We had such a fun time this past weekend. We drove down to Utah on Thursday to attend a wedding shower for Stevie Lowe and Becca Stapley. We spent the night at my aunt Cloene and uncle Dennis Warrens home, they are always so gracious to give us a bed for the night. We spent the day with Kathy and the girls and enjoyed her grand kids. We spent Friday night with Ellis and Lorraine Ferrell. Old friends of Joel's from long ago. Saturday we went to see Betty, Joel's sister, and she had just signed papers on a new home close by her daughter in West Jordan. Later that day we went to Centerville to visit some old friends of ours who use to live in Pocatello when we did. It was so good to be with Joel and just relax.

Thom Filicia (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy)
Kathy's Daughter Kristen has a friend who won a $10,000 Bedroom Makeover from Thom Filicia (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and Kristen got to be there for the big reveal! It was a makeover for her friend Sherri who has been battling breast cancer for over a year and won the makeover. What a sweet gift Thom gave to her! I'm glad Kristen could be there to support her amazing friend.
